I have been away. I am sorry.

While I was on the plane to San Francisco, something occurred to me. I always get the window seat so I have something to lean on when I attempt to nap (although I never seem to be able to). Wouldn't it be great, if, instead of hard, plasticky walls, the walls were cushioned? Well, I think that would be great. Then they could get rid of those miniature pillows.

I had a similar thought on the Chinatown bus. The best naps I've had in my life were on school buses, where the seat goes right to the end of the window and I could lay my head on the glass and the gentle vibrations of the road would rock me to sleep. Real buses seem to think this is a bad idea and put their seats as far away from the window as possible so that I can't possibly reach them. My solution is that I design everything in the world to be how I like it.
