Sometimes I'd like for my AOL and G-Mail to not automatically log me into chatting when I sign in. Maybe there could be a button there to say please do not log me in on those occasions in which I do not wish to speak to anyone.
Well, yes, but I don't think I'll know when I don't want it to pop-up and I don't want to go through the trouble of changing my preferences and this is for my benefit entirely, you'll understand.

If you sign out of G-Chat before signing out of Gmail, then the next time you sign into Gmail you shouldn't be automatically signed into G-Chat.
