A way to see what someone's reaction/expression is when they read an email you've sent. And maybe how long they spent reading it and how many times they may have gone back to it later.
AOL let you check the status of a delivered mail to fellow AOL users. I think it was possible to get a return receipt for knowing they opened it. I never knew it to exist outside of AOL.

I don't care much about how they responded necessarily--I just want to know that the email has been received and opened. That'd be sweet.

Yeah, it used to exist for AOL but I thought they discontinued that years ago. I must be wrong.
